Minister Coveney launches grant aid schemes for pigs and poultry and organic sectors

Two new grant aid schemes for the development of organic off-farm processing and the pigs and poultry sectors have been announced.

Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney, who announced the pig and poultry scheme, said this investment of €17 million reflects his department’s ongoing commitment to the sector’s growth potential and the modernisation of farming.

“I hope that pig and poultry farmers will look very seriously at the opportunities offered by this new scheme,” he said, pointing out that it is being co-funded by the European Union.
