€23.6bn Irish project wish list for EU fund

The Government has drawn up a €23.6 billion wish list of projects it would like to see undertaken over the next decade, ranging from housing to schools, water treatment to roads.

They submitted the 70 projects as an example of the kind of developments they would like to receive funding under the EU’s new investment fund designed to give an essential boost to growth in the Union.

They estimate that the projects could absorb just over €10bn worth of investment from 2015 to 2017.
