Labour market figures published by the CSO last week for the third quarter of the year contained further good news on the Irish economy.

More good news as the unemployed numbers fall

The data showed continuing solid job growth and another marked fall in unemployment. Employment rose by over 10,000 — or 0.5% in the quarter — for a year-on-year gain of 1.5%.

The good news is that virtually the entire rise in employment, over the past year, was in full-time jobs.
