Niall Quinn firm posts €200k profit

Newly filed accounts for Niall Quinn Media Services (NQMS) Ltd show that the firm’s accumulated profits increased by €212,922 from €479,738 to €692,660.
This followed 48-year old Quinn’s firm enjoying profits of €555,000 in 2012.
A regular football pundit on Sky, the former Ireland frontman said yesterday that he enjoys the punditry “and I don’t go for the shock jock approach”.
He said: “You get that approach in Gaelic Football, rugby and soccer here, but I don’t believe Sky want me to be outspoken and throwing players to the lions in what I might say”.
Mr Quinn said that Sky are using him more this year than any other year. He said: “I’m getting used to that. It is quite a number of appearances. I really enjoy the work. It is nothing like playing but it is a very good alternative and I have the best seat in the house at the best games.”
Capped 92 times by Ireland, Quinn said that his media business is “going very well”.
The NQMS accounts show Quinn has ploughed €660,000 in loans from his media firm into his satellite broadband company, Qsat.
The firm today directly employs 16 people and Mr Quinn said: “We’re on course to make a profit of €300,000 this year at Qsat and this follows a modest loss of €45,000 last year.”
