Best in class but we’re still in line for EU beating

Sometimes even countries find themselves between a rock and a hard place. Unfortunately, Ireland is in such a place with respect to our corporate taxation policies.

Over recent months there has been growing momentum among some of our European Union colleagues to reduce the benefit that our current tax regime allows us.

It’s not personal. In fact, I doubt, given the power brokers of Europe’s lack of real support during our financial collapse, whether they actually even give one fig about this little piece of land, with its relatively small population on the periphery of Europe.
