Switching service providers could save consumers €1,640

Consumers can save up to €1,640 annually by switching household bills, according to new research.

The Permanent TSB Switching Index, compiled by Amárach Research, shows that swapping service providers across a range of household bills including electricity, gas, broadband, car insurance, health insurance and main current bank account is a habit worth forming with €2.3bn saved in the economy annually by consumers shopping around for better value on these bills, it said in a statement.
