Vodafone expansion to create 113 jobs
The telecommunications giant said the appointments will include positions in technology and networks, customer service, HR, finance, sales and marketing.
It said 57 of the positions will be permanent, while a further 51 will be contract positions for one year’s duration, with the possibility of an extension.
Vodafone will also be recruiting five graduates. The contract positions will begin on April 1.
The company, which already employs 1,100 people in Ireland, said it will be recruiting candidate skill sets from entry to managerial level.
Vodafone Ireland chief executive Anne O’Leary said: “To meet the increasing customer demand for mobile, broadband and data services, we have embarked on a major nationwide network investment programme while also delivering new converged fixed and mobile services.
“We are delighted to be hiring again at a significant level to support this business drive. We are looking for people with a passion for technology and innovation who will bring something special to Vodafone and our customers.”
Jobs Minister Richard Bruton said the new roles were “the latest sign of increasing confidence in the domestic economy”.

Meanwhile, coffee company Caffè Nero has announced that it is to create 320 jobs across the country through branch expansions over the next five years.
Caffè Nero opened its first Irish store in Merrion Row in Dublin on March 13 with the creation of eight jobs. It said that was part of its planned €20m investment in the Irish economy.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny also announced yesterday that Castlebar, Co Mayo-based cloud company CloudStrong will be tripling its workforce with the creation of 19 new jobs.
