Let’s build homes properly this time around

It’s hard to believe but according to the ESRI we now have a housing shortage.

As we are only too well aware our recent boom, which ended in bust in 2007, was driven by the reckless development of hotels, shopping malls, apartment blocks and housing estates right across Ireland.

Virtually no part of the island was spared development. And there were a number of characteristics common to all that development.
