Full transparency on Irish Water is essential

Ireland has come through the throes of disaster over the past six years and will unfortunately be paying a heavy price for many years to come.

Failures in the banking system, both here and abroad, and in political governance, have played a key role in the disasters that have befallen the citizens of the country and indeed many other countries.

Most people understand and reluctantly accept these basic facts at this stage, but will understandably be apoplectic at certain recent events. The setting up of Irish Water continues to be mired in controversy.
