Two firms to create 50 jobs

Field Management Ireland will add 30 jobs to its energy business, bringing the total number of staff working on its Electric Ireland account to 120.
Chief operating officer Nicola de Beer said the extra jobs were due to growing Electric Ireland’s customer base. It will be responsible for all residential field sales activity for Electric Ireland through to 2015/16.
“Our success in residential field sales is delivering growth for their business and for our business and is a great endorsement of our results-driven, customer-focused approach, as well as the dedication and commitment of our personnel,” Ms de Beer said.
Meanwhile, Monaghan Mushrooms, Europe’s largest producer of mushrooms, has created 20 jobs for graduates.
The company operates in six countries and has a workforce of over 3,500. Its graduate programme covers different sectors including agri-science, distribution, data analysis, engineering, and finance&.
Jobs Minister Richard Bruton said: “The food sector is a key part of our action plan for jobs, and in the past year we have seen very impressive employment growth in this area.
“Today’s announcement that Monaghan Mushrooms, an Irish company which employs 900 people in Ireland and over 3,500 worldwide, is expanding further is very welcome.”
Chief operating officer Paul Wilson said: “This investment is to support our growth agenda in Europe and North America, whilst at the same time retaining talent in Ireland and developing the next generation of business leaders.”
