New iPad range and Macbook laptop expected at Apple’s ‘special event’

Apple’s announcement of a “special event” next week has sparked rumours the technology giant could be about to unveil a new range of iPads.

Experts anticipate that Apple will bring some of the features of the latest iPhones to its tablets, including coloured casings and fingerprint security, while giving them more power.

Apple is remaining reticent over the announcement, saying simply: “We still have a lot to cover” on invitations to the event.
