FF proposes employer PRSI hike

The Government has confirmed an increase of 15% in the employers’ PRSI rate in the upcoming budget would net the Exchequer up to €100 million.

Fianna Fáil finance spokesman Michael McGrath had asked social protection minister what the yield would be if the PRSI rate was upped from the current 10.75% to percentages ranging from 12% to 15% for the portion of salary over €100,000.

Mr McGrath also sought the yield if the percentages were applied to portions of salary over €125,000 and over €150,000.
