Teagasc urges farmers to be vigilant in high-risk month for accidents

Teagasc is reminding farmers that August ranks as a high-risk month for accidents and is urging them to be vigilant.

About 9% of farm deaths occur during this month with considerable tractor and vehicle use arising from grass and crop harvesting work.

It is also part of the summer school holiday period when children may have access to farmyards.
