Vodafone top with 2.4m customers

The Irish arm of Vodafone remains the most popular phone operator with more than two million customers, according to the company’s interim management statement.

Vodafone Ireland has retained its position as Ireland’s preferred telecommunications provider with a total customer base of 2.4m at the quarter ended Jun 30, 2013. The company is the mobile market leader with 2.1m mobile customers.

The company has seen its contracts grow by 8.2% on the same period last year and gained a net addition of over 23,000 new customers.
