Farmers need to bale out false market claims

Last weekend we baled a field of silage.

The term “we” is somewhat disingenuous; rather, I pointed a lot of fingers and professional contractors did the actual work. It did, however, underscore the fact that we all live over a land that is both bountiful and beautiful.

Silage baling probably sounds a bit bucolic if you’ve grown up in Dublin 4 but it is a thing of mesmerising synchronicity.
