European markets stay volatile

European markets varied throughout the day yesterday as a result of Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem’scomments yesterday saying the Cyprus rescue could be repeated in other countries.

Some European markets did however edge a little higher breaking a three-day losing streak. US markets also opened a little higher despiteconsumer confidence reading of 59.7 for March, down from 68.0 in February.

The ISEQ closed down 8.59 points signifying a reduction of 0.34% at 3,923.52.
