Attitude change from those at top necessary

It’s time for a once and for all public outing. Over the last several months we have been inundated with news on what most of us see as excessive salaries paid to bankers, politicians, senior public servants, and others who should know better.

From a voyeur’s point of view it may be very entertaining to get a glimpse of how the other 5% live. But, to the vast bulk of us, it simply serves to fill us with exasperation and anger.

This drip feed of such news must come to an end. This is not to say that we should not be aware of what is going on and how we are being gouged, or how the two Ireland’s manifest themselves particularly in these straitened times.
