Eurozone markets struggle

Markets across the eurozone struggled yesterday, disappointing corporate earnings’ figures coming from the US.

Coupled with Moody’s downgrade of five Spanish regions by a point or two, that lead to weak markets, the Iseq didn’t escape this trend, losing 45.12 points to close on 3,191.83.

Irish financials were largely unmoved with AIB & Permanent TSB Group static on 5.5c and 2.4c, while Bank of Ireland gave back yesterday’s 0.2c to close on 9.7c.
