Credit unions’ registrar to leave

The registrar of credit unions, James O’Brien, is set to leave his post at the end of the year to take up a new position with the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates.

The Irish Central Bank confirmed Mr O’Brien is set to leave at the end of the year.

“An announcement regarding the appointment of a new registrar for credit unions will be made in due course,” a spokesperson said.
