Shares slide amid debt concerns

Irish shares were in the red in line with most European bourses as attention turned once again to weakening eurozone economies and Spain’s unresolved debt crisis.

The Iseq Index lost 14.82 points to 3,328.73.

Bank of Ireland and AIB were ahead by 0.1c to 10c and 5.6c respectively. Permanent TSB by contrast gave up 0.1c to 2.58c. Elsewhere in the financial sector insurer FBD Holdings added 1.8c to €9.818.
