Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney has invited trade organisations to submit proposals for EU co-funded promotion programmes to commence in 2013.

There are two relevant sectors. These are: Internal market — Milk and milk products; fresh fruit and vegetables including potatoes for the “internal market”; and “Third countries” — fresh, chilled and frozen beef, veal and pigmeat; spirit drinks with a geographical or reserved traditional indication; milk products.

Mr Coveney said: “I would like to see all trade organisations coming forward and submitting proposals for these valuable campaigns. We can be proud of our quality, food safety and hygiene, nutrition, animal welfare and environmentally friendly production methods. These campaigns enable us to showcase these attributes on the world stage.”
