The group wants the Government to introduce tougher sanctions to tackle the black market which Isme claims will be worth €25bn this year.

Chief executive Mark Fielding said: “While it is difficult to put an actual figure on the costs of the black economy, previous international estimates (in better times) suggest that in Ireland it amounts to 14% of GDP.
