Irish unit of LinkedIn sees revenue triple

Revenues at the main Irish unit of the world’s largest online professional network LinkedIn increased more than threefold last year to $166.6m (€137.8m).

Figures show that in spite of the sharp increase in revenues, from $43m to $166.6m, Linkedin Ireland Ltd’s pre-tax losses increased by 60%, from $4.8m to $7.7m, in the 12 months to the end of Dec 2011.

In 2010, the California company established its international headquarters in Dublin.
