Services output increases 4% to April

The total output of the services sector in Ireland has increased by 4% to April while the cost of services charged to businesses increased by 1.7% in the first quarter of the year.

The Central Statistics Office yesterday published two reports on the services sector in Ireland the Monthly Services Index, and the experimental or selected Services Producer Price Index (SPPI).

The Monthly Services Index decreased by 0.2% between March and April, but has risen by 4% from the start of the year.
