State-of-the-art bio diesel plant opened in Britain by Louth firm
The multi-tiered Co Louth food group says its advanced processing plant in Bootle will be solely dedicated to producing bio diesel from used cooking oil. This will complement AGRI’s existing national used cooking oil collection business. The plant is able to produce 16 million litres of EN14214 bio diesel per year — a European specification of bio diesel that isn’t usually achievable with standard technology in bio diesel plants when using used cooking oil .
ABP stated: “The plant is constructed on a Brownfield site which has a history of reprocessing oils and fats going back over 150 years. AGRI has been able to not only regenerate an area of Liverpool but also create green employment opportunities.”
