The ISEQ index ended the week on a positive note, to close up 29.21 points to 3,242.59, in line with European and world markets.

In the financial sector, Permanent TSB is to be restructured to create a viable, customer focused and competitive retail bank capable of resuming normal lending into the Irish market. Shares in Irish Life & Permanent were unchanged at 3.4c. Bank of Ireland remained at 11.1c, AIB added 0.3c to 7.7c, while insurance group FBD Holdings slipped 7.7c to 8.60.

In the construction sector, CRH gained 44.5c to 15.44. Grafton advanced 1.6c to 3.30, while Kingspan progressed 9.8c to 7.80.
