Firm to use €750k fund on ‘revolutionising solar panels’

Solar cell manufacturer and designer Nines Photovoltaics has secured finance it hopes will help it to revolutionise the manufacture of solar panels.

The Dublin-based company has just raised a further €750,000 in funding. It now aims to dramatically change the processes used to manufacture solar cells, reducing production costs whilst also increasing cell efficiencies.

Traditional manufacturing of solar cells has involved using huge amounts of water, resulting in the processes being expensive and polluting.
