Poor CVs hinder jobseekers

JOB applicants are being rejected prior to interview because of the poor quality of their applications and CVs, according to a survey by the Optimum Career.ie website.

Two-thirds of employers said job applications are poor, while 58% said many “otherwise appropriate applicants” are rejected due to the standard of their CVs.

Some 78% of the 400 employers surveyed said that applicants could very easily do a far better job interview if they were better prepared.
