IRELAND remains a top destination for foreign investment despite recent economic and fiscal difficulties, according to the latest IBM report.

However, the IBM Global Location Trends report also found that the country is facing increasing competition within Europe and globally for that investment.

Author of IBM’s annual Global Location Trends Dr Jacob Dencik said that the US continues to be the main source of inward investment to Ireland with 63% of multinational jobs created by US companies here, but that the pattern of corporate investment behaviour is changing.
