THE lending criteria used by Irish banks changed little during the first quarter of 2011, making it hard for business to ger credit, the Central Bank said.

In effect, credit standards demanded by banks continued to be tight, though little has changed from the previous quarter.

The Central Bank survey is part of a wider euro-area survey that included five Irish banks and 124 in all of the euro area countries.
