London office rents set to increase

London: The biggest shortage of prime office space in central London since at least 1980 will cause rents to jump in the next two years, Capita Symonds Ltd. said.

Rents in the West End may rise to £100 (€114) a square foot from £70 by 2013, the London-based property broker said. In the City of London financial district, rents may increase to £65 a square foot from £55.
