Dublin: The latest Credit Crunch Tracking Report from RED C shows that the longevity of the recession is taking its toll on people, with declines in personal outlook, quality of life and monthly spend.

The survey was carried out in March after the election and shows a glimpse of optimism driven by higher expectations for the Irish economy. However, 85% said they have been impacted by the recession, compared to 79% in September.

The survey found that 35-44 year-olds feel more impacted overall by the recession than any other demographic group.
