Business services group set to cut 40 jobs

FEXCO — the Kerry-based business services group — is believed to be planning to cut its Irish workforce by about 4% in the coming months.

The Killorglin-headquartered group — which last month completed the acquisition of Goodbody Stockbrokers from AIB — is thought to be looking to cut 40 jobs from its Irish-based workforce of just over 1,000.

Outside of Ireland, the group employs another 500 or so people in offices in the US, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and Hong Kong.
