BANK lending to small firms is increasing but companies say borrowing costs are edging higher.

Two-thirds of companies surveyed said they successfully accessed bank credit in the last quarter, which is up on previous findings.

A survey conducted by small business group, ISME, found there was a drop in the number of firms requesting credit from their banks in the last quarter.
