COMPANIES will no longer need to reprint headed notepaper every time a director changes, in a move estimated to save €13.5m annually.

As part of a concerted campaign to stamp out needless bureaucracy, the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement has issued a guidance note to small firms outlining that directors’ names need no longer be pre-printed on headed paper – untilrecently firms understood this was a requirement under company law.

Instead, the names can be included in the footer of the letter template which allows them to appear automatically when each letter is written.
