Market recovers some losses

THE ISEQ index recovered some of last week’s losses with a gain of 27.56 points to 2,734.21.

Bourses throughout the globe were stronger as Wall Street extended gains ahead of today’s monetary policy meeting by the Federal Reserve.

Most of the main financials in Dublin clawed back some of last week’s losses. Bank of Ireland improved 3c to 64.9c. AIB dipped 0.7c to 61.3c. Irish Life & Permanent gained 6.1c to €1.61, while insurance Group FBD Holdings advanced 11.9c to €6.46.
