Prince Charles backs cause of struggling British farmers

THE need to keep British farmers farming and providing food has been highlighted by the Prince of Wales.

Prince Charles said farmers in the upland areas of Britain last year made a loss, on average, of £3,000 (€3,639).

The number of Britain’s farmers and farm workers has declined by 26% over the past 20 years.
