All three main banks make ground

THE Dublin shares market made steady ground in morning trading only to fall back somewhat by the close. This was broadly in line with other European bourses.

All three main banks make ground

The ISEQ index closed up 4.21 points at 2967.55.

The financials were slightly stronger. AIB and Bank of Ireland moved on 0.4c and 2.5c respectively to 93.7c and 87c. Irish Life and Permanent tacked on 1.7c to 1.839.
