Aer Lingus optimistic but long-term impact unclear

AER LINGUS said it is encouraged by trading so far this year but fears the ash crisis will have a longer term impact on passenger travel.

It said it has “limited visibility” over the booking profile for the first half of 2010 and its key markets remain subdued.

It added that it remains “cautious” on its full year 2010 performance despite positive indications on second quarter revenues.
