IBEC seminars on employee claims

Tralee: IBEC will host a series of free seminars for businesses following an increase in the cost of employee claims against employers.

The seminars will take place in Tralee and Cork (April 14), Limerick (April 15), Waterford (April 21) and Dublin (April 13 and 22) and will feature IBEC advice on dealing with claims.

IBEC estimates that the cost to employers of employment rights cases in 2008 was at least €8 million, and the National Employment Rights Authority (NERA) recovered over €2.5 million from employers for employees in 2009.
