Milan: Ikea workers are striking at the retailer’s second-biggest outlet in Italy for “unacceptable” working conditions, including being timed on toilet breaks”.

“We’re protesting against an attitude of putting workers under pressure” by managers at the store in Corsico, Massimo Aveni, regional secretary for labour union Uiltucs, said.

Ikea “applies the same rules in all its 16 Italian outlets, with common sense, putting clients’ needs first,” the company said in a statement.
