Market falls on Chinese moves

THE ISEQ index declined 32.38 points to 3,024.92 in line with other European and world bourses.

Worries over monetary tightening in China and caution ahead of US and Japanese central bank policy meetings this week weighed on financial markets, sending stocks lower.

In the financial sector, AIB dipped 5c to €1.40. Bank of Ireland slipped 2c to €1.21. Irish Life & Permanent fell 12c to €3.16, while insurance company FBD Holdings gained a further 4c to €6.64.
