College toasts Heineken donation

A COLLEGE is toasting the donation by Heineken Ireland of hi-tech brewing equipment from the historic Beamish and Crawford plant in Cork.

Heineken acquired the Beamish facility in late 2008, and donated its archives to the city earlier this year.

Yesterday, the brewing giant marked the formal presentation of the equipment which has been installed in University College Cork’s brewery in its Faculty of Food and Nutritional Sciences.
