Market down ahead of banks’ EGMs

Bank of Ireland is to hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders early in 2010, with a recommendation from the bank’s board to approve the bank’s participation in NAMA. AIB is also holding an extraordinary general meeting on December 23 to discuss NAMA.

AIB dropped 9c to €1.55, Bank of Ireland also shed 9c to €1.61, Irish Life & Permanent decreased 22.6c to €3.25, while insurance group FBD Holdings was 27c weaker at €6.70.
