UPC Ireland sees revenue decline to €58.7m despite subscriber increase

UPC IRELAND – the parent company of multi-disciplined communications provider, Chorus NTL – saw an 11.7% year-on-year decline in revenue to $84.4 million (€58.7m) for the second quarter of the year.

The figures – published yesterday by UPC’s parent group, the Colorado-based Liberty Global group – also show a 1.1% drop in operating cash flow (broadly similar to operating profit) to $35.3m.

However, in euro terms as of the end of June, revenue for the quarter at UPC Ireland was actually up by €700,000 to €61.9m; with operating cash flow up by €3.1m (13.6%) at €25.9m.
