Investors wary over ‘recovery’

THE ISEQ index dipped 26.61 points to 2,676.53 yesterday as investors remained cautious. Trading volumes were relatively low as doubts persisted about whether or not recent signs pointed to a recovery.

In the financial sector, AIB fell a further 9c to €1.65, Bank of Ireland remained steady adding 4c to €1.73, Irish Life & Permanent declined 5c to €2.90, while insurance group FBD Holdings gained 5c to €7.40.

In construction, CRH declined 39c to €16.55, Kingspan shed 4c to €4.04 while Grafton Group progressed 2c to €2.44.
