Department website attracts 19,000 hits to view CAP payment recipients

THERE were 19,048 hits on the Department of Agriculture website from last Thursday to Monday as the public accessed the list of Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) payment recipients.

Ireland is one of 26 EU countries to have published the list in accordance with new EU transparency regulations.

Germany is the only EU member state not to have published the details of the beneficiaries as required.
