Market maintains minor rally

THE Irish market picked up yesterday where it left off last week.

The ISEQ index added a healthy 45.77 points to close at 2,191.81 as the main bank stocks continued their recent rally.

The financials had a mixed day as Bank of Ireland and AIB moved on once again, adding 1.5c and 3.6c to finish at 51.5c and 70c. Irish Life and Permanent bucked the trend shedding 3.5c to €1.27.
