BT Ireland’s losses exceed €1 billion

BT Ireland’s main trading company in Ireland recorded pre-tax losses of €44 million to the end of March last year, bringing the company’s accumulated losses to more than €1 billion.

According to accounts recently filed with the Companies Office by BT Communications Ireland Limited (BTCIL), the company’s turnover reduced by 1.2% to €381m.

The directors’ report states that “difficult trading conditions continued in the year under review with a slight decline in revenue”.
