IDA chief executive Barry O’Leary has acknowledged that it is a big plus for international corporations to deal directly with professional tax practitioners and the Irish Revenue when they are setting up operations in Ireland.

He was speaking as at the Irish Taxation Institute and Revenue joint conference 2009 in Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny.

Mr O’Leary also welcomed the recent assurance by Finance Minister Brian Lenihan that the 12.5% corporate tax rate would remain into the future.
